Summary
Develop and conduct work process designs, cost estimates.
Resolve engineering problems involved in drilling and completing horizontal wells.
Work with drilling rig and completions managers to drive improvement efforts for drilling including: rig moves,rig ups and rig downs, well drilling and completion processes.
Once a self-sustaining improvement program is established, responsibilities become more drilling/operations focused.
Responsibilities
* Develop work processes and cost estimates
* Time studies and analysis - of high volume drilling and completion processes
* Workspace and layout analysis - of the drilling and completion sites
* Analyze methods for improving efficiency and reduction of NPT
* Establish baseline and target metrics for key processes
* Assist engineers, rig and completion managers - in selecting
projects that improve drilling performance
Required
* Bachelor or Masters engineering degree
(chemical, industrial or petroleum preferred)
* 10 years experience in material flow and layout,
time studies, formulating performance metrics
* Six Sigma Black Belt certification
* Lean manufacturing certification
* Overnight Travel to drill sites as required (considerable at first)
Preferred
* Proficiency with simulation software
* ISO implementation experience
* Controlled Document temperance

I will expect the successful candidate to run spreadsheets. Organize. Do field visits. And do most of the hands on lean support.
