New Microsoft Girls Threaten Chicks
Microsoft Turns Up The Heat
Gretchen is worried about some sexy, new "MicroChicks".
"Laura Foy and Tina Wood, the faces of Microsoft's new 10, seem to be just a tad bit cooler than us ... well, maybe not cooler than Jenna ... she's pretty bad-a$$."
Here's Laura's Wikipedia entry. It looks like Microsoft has co-opted her bad girl image so it can titillate nerdy Geeks on TV. Sort of a techie Elvira. That is kewel.
And, here's Tina Wood's blog. She's a little more "classy". (One's Pink-Lite, the other more Jackie Bisset. Well, maybe not exactly. Tina doesn't seem to notice that her pants are falling down).
Gretchen, these girls might get the techies panting but they are not recruiters and hardly bloggers. So how can they be Microchicks? Listen, you cut your hair, dye it blonde, spike it up and put a ring through your nose. Then you'll be cool too. (I'm sure Mr G would like it).
And as for Jenna being bad, you're joking right?. If she was "bad", I don't think the Ma'am would have hounded me to replace the mild-mannered picture I posted of her back in the day. Excuse me for boasting but I think I called it right. She's a Soccer mom.
PS: OK, now I've seen the show and I was completely wrong. I take back the Jackie Bisset, Elvira, and even Pink. Think MTV. (See it here).
