Get Off Your... Bobby Merrill has a mean message
Quitters Never Prosper
Are you a recruiter and you can't make your placements?
No matter how much you don't like to hear it, its simply, flatly, because you haven't talked to enough people.
Are you a job-seeker and you haven't been hired?
No matter how much you don't like to hear it, its simply, flatly, because you haven't talked to enough people.

Reminds me more than a little of one of my favorite movies, Glengarry Glen Ross. "Put that coffee down! Coffee's for closers only."

1 Word, the internet - the internet has changed how recruiters work.
Today recruiters depend on the internet for finding Resumes, for correspondance, for Everything.. They have forgotten the Art of the Telephone.
This industry is ancient, and the art of recruiting is time tested.. but we seem to always want to reinvent the wheel.
Yet, one thing has remained true - the art of phone. One has to learn how to give good phone to do this job well..
By the way, Greg Doersching has a great training manual on How to double billings on Only 30 Calls a day.. I agree, one doesn't have to make 100 calls or even 60 - the focus of his training is how to make those calls effective and those send out better.
The training audio tape can be found at -
