Such Order from Confusion Sprung

RECRUITOMATIC LOVES JONATHAN SWIFT.

Mixed_up_confusion_1Amitai Givertz loves The Recruiting Animal so much that one blogswap posting isn't enough for him. So here he is again letting us know that he's read more than Gulliver's Travels. Seriously, the poem from which the title derives is a must-read. (Otherwise, you might get the impression that Amitai is just perverse.)

The RecruitingFly came off the dung heap with such promise. An engine to search the recruitment blogs. What a great idea. Everyone loved it. Tempering his enthusiasm for anything smelly, resident sage John Sumser comments:

While the fly should be making Jason Davis (of Recruiting.com) scratch his head trying to figure out how to respond competitively, the net result is an increase in clutter. Knowing that you can see everything written in all of the Recruiting blogs will be an increasingly useless thing. There's already too much stuff.

Certainly there is too much stuff and more to come. So, if you want the scoop on online recruiting – without the clutter? – all you need to do is bookmark interbiznet. If only there was some way to search John Sumser’s archives. Hmmm… that’s a thought.

As for Jason Davis, he’s no fool. When RecruitingFly says “sponsored in part by” over an oddly out-of-place banner ad, it leads one to wonder which part Recruiting.com is actually sponsoring. I shall say no more. One must tread carefully through the “gaudy tulips” that bloom each day in the expanding universe of recruitment blogs. Mine own included.
