Some of my Indian friends tend to be a bit intolerant of Hindi or Punjabi spoken with a bad American or British accent... it is a double-standard: Indians speaking English with Indian accents want to be accepted and respected in the west, so why shouldn't that tolerance work the other way around?.....
Katrina Kaif (pictured right)... speaks Hindi with a heavy British accent, so professional dub actresses fill in for her.

Katrina Kaif is a popular actress in India because of her stunning looks.People want to watch her instead of listening to her!;)

so true.. so True.. I have seen this happening.. try going to India and speaking hindi or Kannada with a canadain accent !!
its like wtf did you say - yet the same speech is totally understood by others in canada !!

Try understanding an Indian recruiter who never set foot in the USA. They really think we understand them. I am tired of this.
