U.S. Doll Spouts off on Gen Y

Everyone's darling, Shannon Seery, is Miss May in Australia's CIO Mag. Here's what she says:

1. Gen Y is not loyal. They saw mom and dad laid off as redundant after years of service.

2. Job satisfaction is their biggest motivator. They only stay if the the work offers interesting challenges.

3. They want work-life balance. They want to work when they want where they want.

4. You can't buy them with money. Social interactions are important. "Putting work in the way of a Gen Y’s social interactions is another sure way for them to leave."
