Dictatorial parents shaped me.
I didn't want to even go to college when I graduated high school. My parents made this call and said I was going to college and that was it.... If it had been left completely up to me, I might not be as driven as I am today.

"Our generation is tired. Really tired. Me too."
-- The Gen Y Princess
Does that mean that an entire Generation is like this? I don't tend to think so. Going on just the people that I know, there are some that are very much like this young professional that Rebecca talks about....But I also know people my age who aren't. I really believe it's about the individual, their situation, their upbringing and countless other factors

Hahaa - I guess in my case a dictatorship has proven to be helpful.
But seriously, sometimes you just need a push from someone whether it's a mentor, parent, friend... in my case, I was lucky to have someone to do that for me. They both were great examples of people who worked hard. So I think their example was also something that shaped my own work ethic. Just like with anyone you look up to, you want to be like them and take on the characteristics that you admire...
But I digress... Thanks for the mention.
