Author Withdraws Anti-Animal Posting

More heated action, apparently, began on Saturday afternoon and continued for 24 hours but the posting was withdrawn before these remarks could be indexed by the search engines.

Here are some excerpts from Friday night.

I was asked to be a part of this "comment club" and it sounded like a reasonably good idea. That is before I saw the mob rule mentality of it all.

I think that this forum is full of different ideas and opinions, which is exactly what I like about it. I was hoping that Animal would perhaps realize today that he is wrong, that his methods are inflammatory and personal and are designed to kill open communication.

One person can make a difference. I choose to foster open communication. The problem is that often the loudest person in the room rarely has the most interesting things to say. Usually I would include myself in that group. I am loud, opinionated, and while I like to think I am funny, I realize I can be offensive in the process. So that makes it even harder for me to say this.

You need to change your club from the comment club to the "Gotcha Gang".

You say you are not a thought leader, you are right.

*You are an idiot.*

But one idiot can make all the difference.

hear hear! I applaud your comments here and My hat is off to you regarding your full scope of honesty -- but, let's not forget to address the other members of the "post mafia squad" as someone else so eloquently put it.. hey, they are just as equally culpable that Recruiting Animal was so graceful to mention for us here --  Quoted ""Look who the members are! It really begs to question what IS the hidden agenda here? I have seen their /*Gang Bang*/ responses on other sites, and they were in my opinion are quite disingenuous. Especially considering the following quote -

/I challenge that any One of these "members" even read any of the  posts that they challenged, or actually even respectfully agreed or disagreed with the orginal "basher"/

Personally, I am pretty offended at the "comment club" as to me, it  appears to be a Full Blown Scenario of Emperor's New Clothes

 ---As one who has had a continual contrarian belief from many of the "ants" and "gangs" for several years, and have actually been censored, threatened, maligned, and Harassed, of which some of the
"hit squad" are directly and indirectly aware and responsible of/for.. - so, I speak from not only a NON Paranoid perspective (interesting label too by the way), but from one who has had to face the challenges of not always being willing to Flow with the non/self  proclaimed thought leaders/"gurus".

Yeah, another way to stifle and scare individuals from speaking their thoughts, or having an opinion - and to disallow open, innovative, and free conversation.. actually it appears more like an opportunity to adversely squat on someone and utilizing ones' alliances to help create a perception that it is all good.. - so much for the freedom of speech in America..

Hmm.. Yes, as I said, Emperors New Clothes so comes to mind in all of this.... there will be many who will "agree" for the sake of agreeing, but..../*

Would be interesting to see how each of these individuals react for  themselves by themselves.. ah, but they always end up turning on each other, whilst they all try to maintain the position of Emperor!

When Animal acts like an idiot, it's usually for fun and mischief.  He likes to test the bounds of the social networking experiment.

What I find much worse are sanctimonious, verbose, righteous, misguided idiots who have no idea how idiotic they are.

    I am still not tracking where Animal has incited "mob mentality".
    Perhaps naming the group "the Bad Guys" was silly and juvenile, but
    as you say that is his schtick. Call him out on his schtick, then.
    Don't call out the act of calling for comments. Calling for comments
    is neutral.

    Animal wanted to bird dog posts that were full of hot air or
    controversial opinions, or differing views, and people could comment
    if they wanted. Folks were free to agree or disagree.

    I work to try to be respectful, kind, and compassionate in my
    posting. Sometimes I add some snark, sometimes I am over the top,
    but never do I carry a pitchfork. I think for myself, am not easily
    manipulated and see the world in varying shades of gray. I don't
    have truth in my back pocket. However I do react somewhat strongly
    to those that think they do.

Recruiting Animal
    Julia Stone spoiled my plans for world domination.

    Here I was marshalling the forces I needed to bring the free world
    under my control. And I was this close to succeeding. But since
    Julia put up this posting, my phone has been ringing off the hook as
    the erstwhile members of my once notorious gang beg me to let them go.

    -- Why? I said.

    -- Look, Animal, one man wept. I can handle Jim from Medex. I didn't
    even read what he said. Josh Letourneau, he's a big teddy-bear. And,
    Maren Hogan, she's just a girl having a hissy-fit. But Julia Stone,
    she's got Animal Derangement Syndrome and I find her really scary.
    If I stick with you, I won't be able to go to Recruitfest if she's
    there.

    -- Why not? I said.

    -- I'm afraid! Don't you get it? She's ready to go postal.

    -- No, she isn't, I said. Julia's funny. She has a good sense of humour.

    -- You know, Animal, he said to me. If you've got one fault it's
    your optimism. You're not an American. We have guns here. And we
    know enough to keep our distance when someone starts acting a little
    weird.

    -- Weird is funny, I said.

    -- That's Canadian weird. Trust me, you don't know. I'm sorry,
    Animal, I'm out.

    Julia, you Party poop. My little band of recruiters was ready to be
    the vanguard of a mass movement of Animal-controlled commenters.
    But, now, it's possible that you've foiled my plans. You know how to
    intimidate Americans. But, if necessary, I'll come back with a whole
    new generation of recruiting commenters who aren't afraid of crazy
    people. And, then, we'll see what happens.

I'm just pissed because nobody calls me an idiot. Animal gets all the attention around here, but I'm just as stupid and offensive !

Of course, none of us can compare to the absolute god of provocation; need I even type his name ? He said if I spammed I would get the negative attention I used to enjoy in high school, but so far, no good.....
