Best Episodes - Recruiting Animal Show 2009

There are a lot of good writers online but in my 6 years of blogging I've only seen two real artists. One is Colin Kingsbury of HRMDirect and the other is Penelope Trunk.

I read her everyday for about a year and that's when it's dangerous to come on my show because if I like you I know where you goofed up.

So, for me, the Brazen Careerist episode had everything. The guest was funny. I had a chance to air all my grievances and I think it was informative.

Not that it had any impact on anyone. No one's celebrating me as a great Gen Y expert. Lots of people tell me they can't stand that episode.

Networker of the Year

No one can say I'm not a nice guy because when it comes to awards I don't judge you by your output alone. I also look for the amount of effort that goes into what you do.

So when I give out the award for best networker, I don't always give it to the person who is naturally social like Jerry Albright. I think about those poor people for whom networking is a constant struggle.

Best Accent 2009

I watched the Bill Boorman videos and you know what? I like the way those Southern girls talk. They kind of remind me of Ellie Mae on the The Beverly Hillbillies.

But, sad to say, they're not the winners of the Best Accent Award for 2009. The winners are the Sopranos of the Recruitosphere, Paul Paris and 1st runner up, David Graziano. Congratulations guys.

I'd also like to give Dave the award for Best Role Player of 2009. He did a couple of impromptu role plays on The Recruiting Animal Show with Craig Fishdogs Fisher and Maureen Sharib and they were both very smooth.

Icon Queen 2009

There's a lot of good Twitter icons around these days. I love the icons of Resume_Writer, CornOnTheJob and WendyJacob because I had a hand in them and I think they're great.

And I want to give a special salute to JimStroud. He's had a lot of pictures but the one he has now is the only one that's ever done him justice. I love the colors. Congratulations, Jim. But the winner of the Recruiting Animal Award for Icon of 2009 is someone else.
